Competitive 4's Beach Volleyball Rules
| Standard CIAU rules apply: |
a) You may not block or attack a serve
b) Rotate in extra players
c) Stay off the net
e) If the ball lands on the line, it is considered in
f) Double hits are not allowed off the serve (volleying the serve is not
allowed)
g) Maximum of three (3) hits per side
h) A block is counted as a hit
i) You may use your feet
j) No lifting or scooping the ball
k) You may not volley the ball over the net at any time
l) Call your own infractions. You may also question other players infractions
- both teams must come to a mutual decision about the call. If not, reserve
the ball and see the coordinator. Please note that this is a league geared
towards enjoyment of sports for everyone – please make calls using
your own discretion
m) No open handed tipping |
2. Teams consist of four (4) players, with minimum of one (1) female on the
court at all times. Teams with no female player must play with two (2) players
only.
3. You may use substitute players for any game except any round of the finals.
4. Games are to twenty-one (21) points, rally point system, with a cap at twenty-three
(23).
Teams play two (2) games per match - all games count.
5. Let serves are good.
6. Please report scores to the coordinator before leaving.
